Welcome to Edinburgh Food Safari

I love food and I love Edinburgh so come and eat Edinburgh with me – Nell Nelson; food journalist and TV presenter. My team and I want you to feel like a food–loving friend is showing you their own neighbourhood on one of my food tours in Edinburgh.

So what is an Edinburgh Food Safari food tour? It’s a local guide taking you to five or six pre-arranged different but very authentic bars or restaurants or shops. You will get a sample size at each stop – so if haggis isn’t your thing- you can try and leave and no one will judge you and you won’t feel its wasteful and if you absolutely love scones jam and cream – then we’re right with you.  We also include interesting history, local facts and architecture, but not enough for your eyes to glaze over – we love history, but we know when to stop!

There are four  Edinburgh safari food tours – two feature the best of local Scottish food  – Eat Scotland and Sunday Morning in the elegant Georgian New Town and on Sunday, we visit The Stockbridge Market. Leith Walk International celebrates Edinburgh’s international outlook on food from Greek orange cake and coffee to Colombian enchiladas and Swedish meatballs. The newest food tour is on Leith Waterfront which celebrates sea views, seafood and stories.
