We are always delighted to offer food tours from groups of two to fifty two! so why not create your own bespoke food tour?
We love a challenge and with our range of guides and unique bars and restaurants, we can come up with a plan that will suit your group’s needs – from a group of 30 ‘hens’ who embraced the safari theme and all wore safari hats (it was a surreal scene to see thirty safari hats bobbing past Georgian pillars). Or a group of ‘fifty somethings’ celebrating a ‘big’ birthday and they ended up drinking Ouzo and dancing Greek at Qupis on the Leith International Food Tour – I left them …
Or just a couple who want to celebrate a special anniversary.- heart shaped donuts from The Kilted Donut are easy to arrange!
We will work with you to create a memorable food tour in the Georgian New Town and Stockbridge, or Leith Walk or the Port of Leith itself . Take a look at all three tours and and Nell can help you choose which would suit – if you are after traditional Scottish numbers – haggis- meat or veggie, whisky and cheese pairing smoked salmon and scones, jam and cream then definitely the elegant Georgian 200-year old New Town and Stockbridge. If you like grazing on more international food then how about Turkish boreks, Colombian arrepas, Swedish meatballs and Greek orange cake – Ouzo is an option! And if your group loves seafood – then the Port of Leith tour has plenty of sea views, freshly roasted coffee, lobster rolls, Cullen Skink, smoked haddock risotto and with three microbreweries and several distilleries in the vicinity – there is no chance of lacking a convivial place to drink.
Prices can start at £35 per person so we can suit all budgets, time frames and occasions,
Nell can also suggest other fun things for your group to do before and after the safari – why not do the Leith Walk International tour and end up in Leith and Nell can arrange for you to visit the Lind and Lime gin distillery for a fun two hour session making your own gin cocktails ( once you have lined your stomachs sufficiently!)
Email Nell to discuss how we can create a food and drink walking tour to give you and your group a unique, fun and memorable insight to Edinburgh
